Can Pumpkin Seed oil help stop hair loss?

Pumpkin seed oil has been touted as a natural remedy for various health conditions, including hair loss. While there is limited scientific evidence specifically focused on pumpkin seed oil's effects on hair loss, some studies suggest that it may have potential benefits for hair health.

Pumpkin seed oil is rich in nutrients, including essential fatty acids, vitamins (such as vitamin E), and minerals (such as zinc and iron). These nutrients play important roles in maintaining healthy hair and scalp. For example, zinc is involved in the normal growth and development of hair follicles, while vitamin E acts as an antioxidant that can protect hair follicles from oxidative stress.

Some studies have shown promising results regarding the use of pumpkin seed oil for hair loss. A small study conducted in 2014 found that men who took a pumpkin seed oil supplement experienced an increase in hair growth compared to those who took a placebo. Another study in 2019 demonstrated that pumpkin seed oil improved hair count and hair thickness in women with mild to moderate female pattern hair loss.

Interesting! I’ve been using the hair + bod. Growth oil for just over four months, and I can say with certainty that I have increased thickness and growth. Its a bit of a slow burner. I noticed some new velus hair around the temples after, say, 3 months. The real deal for me was when I visited the barber to even my hair out (I did a low buzz cut to reduce the visibility of the hairloss in Nov 22). We both noticed how much more thicker my hair was, with less gaps. My hair had filled in around 70% in some problem areas.

I notice that when I wash my hair, it takes a bit longer to rinse out the shampoo becuase there is actually more hair on my head. It is an oil tonic so I do use a clarifying shampoo every 3rd wash or so. I use a derm roller with the oil, maybe 80% of the time, (sometimes i actually cannot be bothered). So far so good!

Hope this helps someone x

Im keen to see results after the full year.
